Biography

Liza Osepashvili is a fourth-year medical student with a strong academic interest in psychiatry and interdisciplinary research. She recently presented her study “Exploring the Broken Heart: Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy in the Context of Antidepressants and Psychiatric Disorders” at the 2025 SYSSA Annual Conference. Liza is a writer for the Walter Dandy Neurosurgical Club, contributing scholarly articles that bridge psychiatry and neurology. She serves as an Ambassador and Workshop Officer for the International Journal of Medical Research, promoting research engagement and scientific literacy among students. Liza is also a core member of the Georgian International Medical Students United Nations and an active participant in the Students and Young Scientists Scientific Association. Passionate about academic inquiry, collaboration, and medical innovation, she remains committed to expanding her expertise in mental health and contributing to evidence-based clinical practice. Her enthusiasm for research and advocacy reflects her goal of becoming a well-rounded physician-scientist.
